Team Kentucky’s Everybody Counts program is a statewide initiative designed to provide graduating high school seniors with clear pathways to success through career opportunities, education, or a combination of both. The program sets up at local job fairs and schools to connect students with employers, educational institutions, and career coaches, offering resources such as tuition assistance, career coaching, and apprenticeship opportunities. The mission is to ensure that every young adult in Kentucky has the support and guidance needed to transition smoothly into the workforce or higher education, thereby benefiting individuals, businesses, and the broader Kentucky economy.

As part of its mission to empower Kentucky’s youth, the Everybody Counts program hosted a “Shark Tank"-style event where graduating seniors at Fern Creek High School pitched their business ideas to a panel of local entrepreneurs and business leaders, gaining real-world experience, feedback, and the opportunity to secure mentorship or funding while helping bridge the gap between education and entrepreneurship.
