PBS Next Avenue: In Motion

In late 2020, PBS's Next Avenue commissioned a series of short videos to accompany the In Motion photographic series, a collaborative project with photographer Heidi Wagner that celebrates the creativity and resilience of older adults. The In Motion series features intimate portraits and stories of individuals aged 55 and older who are actively engaged in artistic pursuits, illustrating how creative expression can enrich lives at any age. The accompanying videos delve deeper into these personal narratives, offering viewers a dynamic glimpse into the subjects' artistic processes and the profound impact of art on their well-being. This multimedia initiative underscores the transformative power of creativity in fostering purpose and connection in later life.
